The Founder
Ikenna Ndugba
In 2018 Ikenna Ndugba founded the non-profit organization 617Peak. He found that there was a lack of creative spaces in Boston for youth especially, and he wanted to build a community by providing a platform for creative expression. Through 617Peak Ikenna wanted to provide Boston youth with platforms for creative expression through a series of mediums such as poetry and mentorship.
As a passionate student-athlete at both Boston Latin Academy and the Brooks School, he earned a free-ride scholarship to Bryant University, where he continued to play basketball. After this, he began spending his summers giving talks to local youth and engaging student-athletes both on and off the court. Since its founding 617Peak has had impactful partnerships with places such as BPS, Rozzie Square Theater, and the Brooks School.
